Course Description:

Join us for weekly group walks through different York Regional Forest locations and experience the mental health benefits of nature, movement, and connection. Walking in forest environments can help reduce stress, improve mood, and support overall well-being while connecting with others in a welcoming group setting.

Please note that trails may include uneven ground, tree roots, hills, and muddy areas. Participants should have the mobility required to walk safely on natural forest trails. To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, these outings may not be suitable for individuals who experience mobility challenges on uneven outdoor surfaces.

Walks are weather dependent. Should a walk have to be canceled due to inclement weather, you will be notified.

Please bring:

  • Supportive walking shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Sunscreen and bug spray
