Course Description:
Join Jared Big Canoe of the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation for a meaningful outdoor workshop at Aurora Town Park, exploring mental health through an Indigenous lens. Learn traditional approaches to self-care, self-healing, and walking a good path in a natural, grounded setting.
Jared will share teachings, stories, and cultural tools, including his drum, to deepen understanding and connection. The experience will also include a smudging ceremony and a special appearance by a professional, world-class Indigenous dancer, enriching the gathering through movement and cultural expression.

Learning Goals:
- Understand mental health from an Indigenous perspective.
- Explore traditional approaches to self-care and self-healing.
- Gain insight into cultural tools and teachings shared by Jared Big Canoe.
